Save container with content (content container)
You can save a container including its content from an existing mailing. This allows you to reuse container content, styles, recipient attributes, modules and target groups in other mailings.
Also in the container editor: You can create content containers directly from your mailing, as described here. Or you can create them directly as content containers under
the containers navigation item and/or edit them there afterward.
Step by step
-
Move your cursor over the right margin of your container. This will then appear blue.
-
Click the
"Save content container" icon.
What is saved?
The following is saved:
-
Container contents (texts and images)
-
Styling (background color, borders, or spacing)
-
Placeholder
-
Modules
-
Target groups
-
-
Decide whether your content container should be created as a new container or whether an existing content container should be replaced.
-
Create a new content container: Enter a name for your new content container.
Status: Your content container is immediately approved.
-
Replace an existing content container: Select an existing content container that you want to replace. Your new container will overwrite the previous version and will be approved immediately.
- You have saved the container from your mailing along with content and styling settings. You can now edit it in the container editor or use it in other mailings.
Replace an existing content container: Select an existing content container that you want to replace. You can no longer edit it within the mailing and can use it only once per mailing. You can make subsequent changes under
the containers navigation item. If you want to remove the link, move your cursor to the right outer edge of the container until the container is highlighted in blue. Click the "Unlink from referenced container" icon.
Not quite clear yet when a container has which status? Here you can find more information about the different container statuses.
-
Next step
-
You can drag and drop content containers into your mailing just like any other container type.
