As of Inxmail Professional version 4.8.60 and later, we will only provide release information here, for new features that are visible on the user interface.
In addition to new API features, we are continuously delivering technical optimizations and updates to the Inxmail Professional client to ensure the best performance.
"Brand Identity Protection" is renamed to "Sending domains"

Update your Client Loader by 28.02.2025 at the latest: You will need the latest version of the Client Loader from Inxmail Professional 4.8.71 at the latest in order to continue working in Inxmail Professional.
How do I check the version of my client loader?
Open the Client Loader and click on "Settings". You can see your current version in the window at the bottom right.

Bugfix for embedding Friendly Captcha forms
In an earlier version of XPRO there was a bug in the HTML code for the subscription form using Friendly Captcha. A div element had not been closed correctly, which might have resulted in unwanted layout effects - depending on how the form was embedded into a web page. The bug has now been fixed. The security and functionality of the form and of the Friendly Captcha functionality was guaranteed at all times.

Friendly Captcha
Friendly Captcha support for "Subscription" web page (JSP)
With version 4.8.48 we have introduced improvements to help you protect yourself even better against list-bombing attacks. In a list bombing attack, subscriptions to your newsletter are made by computer programs or bots. In this process, a very large number of fictitious or actually existing email addresses is transferred to your subscription form and the subscription process is triggered (DOI) or even carried out (SOI). The owners of the e-mail addresses know nothing about this.
Using Friendly Captcha in the "Subscription" web page
With version 4.8.48 you can include Friendly Captcha in your "Subscription" web pages. To do so, create a new "Subscription" web page. You cannot use Friendly Captcha in existing or copied web pages.
By embedding Friendly Captcha into your dynamic web pages, you prevent computer programs or bots from subscribing through your website.
The deployed version of Friendly Captcha determines whether a human or a computer program is visiting a web page based on an algorithm running in the browser of the person subscribing. This way you can be sure that only natural persons subscribe to your newsletter. Tagging tasks such as manually clicking on traffic lights or cars in images are not necessary when using Friendly Captcha.
Friendly Captcha is an alternative to Google reCAPTCHA.

Inxmail Professional 4.8.30 also updates the browser component of the Inxmail Professional client. In this context, a mandatory executable file (exe file) is renamed.
We ask you to ensure that this file can be executed and is not blocked, for example, by a virus scanner or due to a requirement of your IT (a so-called group policy of the Active Directory).
Here are the technical details for your IT:

To start the component, make sure that the "chromium.exe" file can be executed.

In the new Inxmail Online Help Portal, you can filter your search by product/subproduct to obtain more targeted search results. The filter is automatically preselected depending on the product you are currently in. You can change the filter at any time to refine or extend your search.

The look of the Inxmail Online Help has been made consistent with the Inxmail brand identity and has been optimized for mobile use.

Product-specific start pages and release information will help to guide you and highlight what’s new in the software and in the documentation.

What the future holds
The new system behind the Online Help Portal will provide even more options for improvement and extension in the future, in terms of searching or integrating media for example.

Inxmail Professional uses JxBrowser to display web-based components. This was updated in Inxmail Professional 4.8.13.
JxBrowser is a separate application that is installed together with Inxmail Professional.
It is started automatically by Inxmail Professional if necessary.
To allow JxBrowser to start up automatically, your Windows settings should be set up so that applications from the Inxmail Professional installation directory can be started.

To start JxBrowser, you must ensure that the "browsercore32.exe" file can be executed. When installed with default paths, the file is stored in the following directory: "%APPDATA%/Roaming/Inxmail/Inxmail_Client_Professional/work/jxbrowser_7.2/chromium". We recommend that you allow the start of applications from "%APPDATA%/Roaming/Inxmail/Inxmail_Client_Professional" in general, so that new components can also be started for future Inxmail Professional updates.
