Create your own roles

Step by step

  1. Open the Roles navigation item.
  2. Click New role.

    The Configure role page is displayed.

  3. Enter a name and a short description for your role. Here's an example:

    • Name: Media manager
    • Description: You have full rights in the "Media" navigation items.
  4. Select the rights packages that you wish to assign to your new role, for example:

    • Media upload
    • Manage media

    Scroll down to view all available rights packages.

    Please note the following in relation to rights packages in "Users & rights":

    All rights packages in the "Users & rights" section are not applied until you assign them on the top level of your organizational chart. That's because user rights always apply for the entire account in Inxmail New Xperience.

    We do not recommend using the rights packages in the "Users & rights" section in your own roles. These rights packages are quite broad-reaching. If they are combined with other rights in a role, there is a risk that you or someone else may inadvertently assign them to a user.

    We recommend that you use the "Rights manager" standard role instead. Assign all users who are responsible for user and rights management.

  5. Click Save.
  • You have created a new role.
