Format texts
You have the theoretical option of formatting your texts without any restrictions in your mailings using the “free formatting” option.
However, we recommend that you work with the text styles that you have defined in your style set. This will make sure your mailings have a consistent look and feel and you can implement your corporate design as intended.
Free formatting options such as font, font size, and line spacing are grayed out when you use text styles. They are pulled from your style set and you cannot overwrite them in your mailing.
What are text styles?
“Text styles” in Inxmail New Xperience are what “paragraph styles” are in other programs. You use text styles to assign certain text types (such as “heading 1,” “subheading,” or “body text”) certain properties such as font, font color, and line spacing.
This gives you the benefit of
-
your texts (such as your subheadings) always having the exact same formatting.
-
You can change the formatting of your texts afterwards centrally via your style set. You can apply the changes to your text style across all mailings without having to go into each one individually. This is especially handy if there have been changes to your corporate design that you need to implement for multiple mailings.
“Use free formatting” rights package
The “use free formatting” rights package allows you to define for your own roles if your colleagues are allowed to use free formatting or if they always have to work with the predefined text styles.
