Test profiles

Go to the "Test profiles" navigation item to create, edit and delete test profiles. Use test profiles in your test mails to check how your mailing looks with personalizations such as attributes or target groups.

What are test profiles?

Test profiles help you test your mailings. Of course, you can also test your mailings with data from real recipients. The advantage of test profiles is that you create them specifically for testing purposes and and tailor them according to your needs. Here are two examples:

Example: Testing a personalized salutation

Create test profiles in which:

  • the salutation is missing

  • the surname is missing

  • the first name is missing

This way you can see what your personalized salutation looks like for recipients with missing information.

Example: Testing a personalized salutation

Create test profiles that:

  • belong to a specific target group

  • do not belong to a specific target group

This allows you to see how your mailing looks when you have included or excluded content for certain target groups.

You can either display global test profiles only - or the test profiles from a specific list (including or excluding global test profiles).

Similar to the Recipients navigation item, you can view and edit the attributes (=column values) of each test profile by clicking the Edit icon. If you do not have editing rights, you will see an eye icon instead of the edit icon. This means you can view but not edit test profiles.
