Use your domain as the sender address
Use your authenticated domain as part of the sender address as soon as your sending domain is shown in green or has the Ready status.
For Inxmail to send your emails through your authenticated domain, your sender address must be on this domain.
Example
Your authenticated domain is: newsletter.example.com.
Possible sender addresses then include:
-
info@newsletter.example.com
-
helloworld@newsletter.example.com
-
and so on
Any email address on your domain is possible. No real mailbox has to exist behind it because Inxmail forwards all replies to your forwarding address.
Depending on which Inxmail product you use, the status of your sending domain is shown differently.
In the
"Sending domains" navigation item, the following validation statuses can occur:

Newsletters & campaigns
Use a sender address with your subdomain in your list settings.
Full Domain Alignment: To achieve Full Domain Alignment for Newsletters & campaigns, you need to set up the mailing links in Inxmail Professional as described below.
Transactional mails
Use a sender address with your subdomain in your mailing settings or in your Mail Relay source systems.
New mailing editor: In the new platform editor, enter the sender address during mailing approval.
Reply-to address
We recommend using the same email address for the sender address and the reply-to address. If you prefer to use a different reply-to address, that is also possible. At the moment, email providers do not take the reply-to address into account for deliverability. So there are no requirements for the reply-to address.
Adjust the reply-to address in your mailing settings or in your Mail Relay source systems.
Full Domain Alignment: Full Domain Alignment is ensured as soon as you send your emails through the subdomain that is stored for tracking and tracking is active.
Inxmail Professional
Use a sender address with your subdomain in the properties of your mailing list.

Adjust the reply-to address in the advanced properties of your mailing list.
Note: Contact your Inxmail representative or Care-Consulting@inxmail.de if you cannot see the advanced properties.
Full Domain Alignment
To Full Domain Alignment achieve, you also need to base the mailing links on your authenticated subdomain. That means:
- URL for website links
- URL for link tracking
If you have stored only one subdomain in the
"Sending domains" navigation item, you do not need to do anything. Inxmail configures the mailing links centrally across lists for you. This setting also applies to lists that you create in the future.
Do you have multiple subdomains?
If you have stored multiple subdomains in the
"Sending domains" navigation item, you need to adjust the mailing links yourself in each list.
When can I change the mailing links?
As soon as you have set up and validated your domain, Inxmail will prepare Full Domain Alignment for you, including alignment of the mailing links. Activating the subdomain for mailing links can take up to two business days.
Check the activation status: Open the URL of your subdomain via HTTPS, for example https://subdomain.example.com, to check the current status. If an Inxmail page appears, website links with an SSL certificate are enabled for your subdomain.
Where can I change the mailing links?
Adjust the mailing links in the sender address in the administrative properties of your mailing lists.
Note: Contact your Inxmail representative or Care-Consulting@inxmail.de if you cannot see the administrative properties.
What must the new mailing links look like?
Enter the new mailing links in the following format: https:// + your subdomain.
Example:
-
URL for website links: https://subdomain.example.com
-
URL for link tracking: https://subdomain.example.com
Special case: If you use the Main domain or subdomain via alias option and entered a dedicated bounce domain as part of that, enter your bounce domain instead of the subdomain.
Do I also need to adjust the mailing links for newly created lists?
Yes. If you have stored more than one subdomain in the
"Sending domains" navigation item, you will also need to adjust the mailing links for new lists in the future.Important: Before your first live send, use a test mailing to check whether the domain resolves correctly and whether website links and link tracking work.
Activation of the domain for link tracking can take up to 3 business days. If you need more information, get in touch with your Inxmail contact person or Care-Consulting@inxmail.de for more information.
