Combination of Inxmail Professional and Salesforce

The Inxmail Professional for Salesforce Connector expands the functionality of Salesforce by adding a facility to implement email marketing campaigns. This is possible in Salesforce thanks to a special form of email marketing project: the Inxmail Professional email campaign.

In Salesforce, you create an Inxmail Professional email campaign in the Campaigns tab as usual. In contrast to the standard campaigns, Inxmail Professional email campaigns have additional data fields and their own status definitions for campaign members.

Salesforce is closely tied to Inxmail Professional. When transferring a campaign, a mailing list with an identical name is created in Inxmail Professional. In addition, the members assigned to a campaign in Salesforce are stored as recipients in the mailing list created.

Overview of the basic functions of Inxmail Professional

Mailing lists play a central role in Inxmail Professional. They provide the basis for creating and sending mailings. In Inxmail Professional, the term ‘mailing’ is used to refer to a ‘newsletter’.

The mailing list needs to be assigned recipients in order to send mailings. They are stored in a recipient list that can be expanded or modified at any time.

The most important distinguishing feature of the recipients is their email address. Duplicate recipient data is not possible because email addresses are unique.

Note: If you would like to assign members with an identical email address to a campaign in Salesforce, only one of these members is transferred to Inxmail Professional as a recipient. All of the other members are given the status Duplicate and are not synchronised.

Additional information

You can create and send any number of mailings within a mailing list in Inxmail Professional. However, an Inxmail Professional email campaign can only be used for one one-time mailing dispatch.
