Primary transactional emails and follow-up transactional emails – setting up workflows

In addition to the transactional emails triggered directly through events in the source system, follow-up transactional emails can also be sent with Inxmail Commerce. Examples of such follow-up transactional emails are mailings asking customers to write a product review or follow-up mailings offering suitable complementary products.

Usually the sending of follow-up transactional emails is triggered at a set time (defined relatively). In other words, a time interval between the sending of the primary transactional email and that of the follow-up transactional email is defined.

Therefore, if you were to create a mailing asking the customer to write a product review, its dispatch can be automatically triggered by Inxmail Commerce a defined number of days (for example, five) after the sending of the dispatch confirmation.

Time intervals between the sending of various follow-up transactional emails can also be defined.

Detailed information on setting up follow-up transactional emails can be found in the section Controlling the sending time.

Detailed information on creating mailing sequences can be found in the section Workflows.
