You can hide most main elements and elements in the mobile view To do this, select the check box Hide on mobile devices. This is available in most main elements and elements. If necessary, you must first add it to the corresponding main element or element.

Note that main elements which cannot be hidden in the mobile view may contain elements which can be hidden. The Header main element for example cannot be hidden in the mobile view. However, the Header main element contains the Banner element, which can be hidden in the mobile view.

Scenarios for hiding main elements

Hiding main elements in the mobile view is appropriate if the main element is not really suitable for display on a mobile device. This is the case, for example, for a table of contents, since only very few mobile devices support the jump links in a table of contents well. In addition, the table of contents is usually too small in the mobile view for finger operation.

There may be occasions when a graphic is not suitable for display on a mobile device. This can be the case if graphics are very detailed and the details would not be recognisable when displayed on a mobile device.

If your newsletter is very long, you can also opt to hide some of the main elements for mobile display, so that it is still possible to read the newsletter on a smartphone with reasonable ‘scrolling effort’.

Scenarios for hiding elements

Hiding individual elements particularly in the header allows you to differentiate between the mobile and desktop versions of your newsletter. More detailed information can be found in the section Header.
