View and embed form

View your published form and specify how it can be accessed and embedded.

The following options are available:

  • Preview: View your form in Inxmail preview and in your browser.

  • Path: Define the form path.

  • Access control: Protect your form from being embedded on unauthorized domains by specifying the allowed domains.

  • Embed: Copy the iframe code and embed the form into your website.

Unsubscription form: An unsubscription form is usually accessed via an unsubscription link in your mailing. Inxmail transfers the information required for the unsubscription. If you want to test the form, follow the instructions under "Preview."

Step by step

  1. Under "Forms," on the "Subscription" or "Unsubscription" tab, click the eye icon.

  2. Preview: View preview

    The preview appears immediately.

    Styling note: The browser preview shows your form without outer spacing. Adjust the layout in your CMS as needed.

  3. Preview: Set/change path

    By default, Inxmail generates a form path based on the following pattern: Form-DD-Month-YYYY-id. The form path is part of the full iframe URL you use to embed your form, e.g.: https://sample-company.my.inxmail.de/Formular-14-Juli-2025-1340

    Under Path and domain, customize the form path.

  4. Preview: Protect access

    You can protect your form from being embedded on unauthorized domains. Under Path and domain, enable the "Protect against embedding on external websites" toggle.

    Enter the permitted domains (comma-separated, without protocol), e.g.:

    • inxmail.com

    • example.com

  5. Embed form

  7. Under "Forms," on the "Subscription" or "Unsubscription" tab, click the < > icon next to the eye icon.

    • iframe embed code: Click the copy icon to copy the iframe code to your clipboard. Go to your content management system (CMS) and insert the iframe code into the designated page or section.

    • Form URL: This is the same URL as shown under View – use it to preview the form directly in your browser.

      Unsubscription form preview: If you open the published form page directly, the parameters that are normally passed via the unsubscription link in the mailing are missing. As a result, the unsubscription cannot be performed as it will be when the form is actually used. Use the preview during form creation to check the form. Alternatively, you can add the required parameters manually, for example, "..?params=1234".

      Important: If unsubscription does not work when you access the form URL directly, this does not mean that the unsubscription form is faulty. When the form is accessed via the unsubscription link in the mailing, Inxmail passes the required information.

  • Your form is now ready for embedding.
