Ensuring correct event data

To enable a correct (event) data transfer from the source system to Inxmail Commerce, an event is created in Inxmail Commerce for every event in the source system. This gives a defined ‘channel’ between the event in the source system and the event in Inxmail Commerce.

The correctness of the data transferred for each event is ensured via a so-called event XML. An event XML is created and configured in Inxmail Commerce for every event. Inxmail Commerce uses the structure and contents of the event XML to determine whether the incoming event data from the source system is correct. If this is the case, the data can be ‘passed’ to the transactional email.

(In connection with the event XML, the XML format is not used for the transfer of data, but for the validation of the incoming event data. The data is transferred using JSON.)

Detailed information on the event XML can be found in the section Structure and content of the event XML.
