Store BIMI-Logo (Scenario 1)

Store your BIMI logo for brand message identification to also visually stand out as a trusted sender in the email inbox of your recipients.

Step by step

Open the feature Brand Identity Protection.

The overview of your domains is displayed.
In the required domain, click Detail view.
Scroll down to the BIMI (Brand Indicator for Message Identification point.
Enter your image URL and click Confirm.
Which URL do I have to enter?
Depending on the mailbox provider, there are different specifications for BIMI:

Yahoo
- For Yahoo all you need to do is provide a URL to your BIMI logo as an .svg. Note the specifications for the BIMI logo detailed below.
- Yahoo also has the following guidelines for displaying the BIMI logo:
  - A BIMI entry with correctly formatted SVG logo is available.
  - The DMARC policy "reject" applies.
  - It is a mailing to a large number of recipients. (No BIMI logo is displayed for individual emails).
  - Yahoo considers the reputation of the sender address to be sufficient according to internal evaluation criteria.
  - For Yahoo, it is theoretically possible to use BIMI on subdomains. However, Yahoo prefers to see BIMI and DMARC set up directly on the main domain.
  - VMC is not a requirement for Yahoo to display the BIMI logo. However, an existing certificate is taken into account in the overall evaluation.

Other mailbox providers
- For other mailbox providers like Gmail or Apple Mail, you need to purchase a VMC certificate in order to display your BIMI logo. Visit https://bimigroup.org/bimi-infographic/ for an overview of mailbox providers that support BIMI now and in the future. BIMI Group regularly updates this overview.
- Inxmail will be happy to support you in the certification process. Note: Contact your Inxmail contact person or Care-Consulting@inxmail.de for more information.
- At the end of the certification process you will receive a URL which you can enter here. The certified URL is also accepted by Yahoo.

You have stored your BIMI logo.

The following prerequisites must be met for BIMI:

DMARC must be implemented and set to "reject."
Your logo file must be an SVG graphic in the Tiny PS version. Keep the following tips and guidelines in mind:
- Technical specifications SVG Tiny Portsable / Secure (IETF)
- Instructions for creating a BIMI-compatible graphic (BIMI Group)
- Tools for creating SVG graphics (BIMI Group)
Your logo must be accessible via a public URL via https.
