The following sections explain the main differences between the various campaign types.
Coupon code campaign
In a coupon code campaign, the coupon codes exist in one or more CSV files. When creating a coupon code campaign, you import the CSV file(s) into the Coupon code plug-in. The coupon codes are integrated into the emails to recipients as they are stored in the CSV file.
You can use the CSV export function to determine which coupon code was sent to which recipient.
Barcode (CSV) campaign
In a barcode (CSV) campaign, the codes/coupon codes exist in one or more CSV files. When creating a barcode (CSV) campaign, you import the CSV file(s) into the Coupon code plug-in. The Coupon code plug-in generates barcodes from the imported codes/coupon codes. You can choose whether only the barcode or the barcode and the code/coupon code should be displayed in the email to the recipients.
You can use the CSV export function to determine which code/coupon code was sent to which recipient.
Barcode campaign
In a barcode campaign, the codes/coupon codes exist in the recipient table within Inxmail Professional. In other words, you must import the codes/coupon codes into Inxmail Professional. When creating a barcode campaign, you specify in which recipient column of the recipient table the Coupon code plug-in will find the codes/coupon codes. You can choose whether only the barcode or the barcode and the code/coupon code should be displayed in the email to the recipients.
In a barcode campaign, the codes/coupon codes exist in the recipient table, so you can determine within Inxmail Professional which code/coupon code was sent to which recipient.
