New ‘Tracking permission’ column in the recipient table
Affected level:
-
(Standard) mailing list
--
In order to record consent to person-based tracking, the Tracking permission column has been added in Inxmail Professional 4.7. In Inxmail Professional, consent to person-based tracking is recorded by list and only stored for subscribed recipients. There is no Tracking permission column in
Global settings >
Recipient agent; this only includes the list-specific Tracking permission <list name> columns in the > Subscribed tab.
Two values are permitted in the Tracking permission column:
-
Yes (means you have consent to person-based tracking for this recipient and the current list). -
No (means you do not have consent to person-based tracking for this recipient and the current list).
Recipients for which no value for person-based tracking exists are handled by Inxmail Professional as if they had refused consent to person-based tracking. This means that the default value
No is entered into the Tracking permission column for these recipients.
Inxmail Professional:
2 possible use cases
Depending on your contract, you might use Inxmail Professional in different ways:
-
As part of the Inxmail platform: You use newsletters & campaigns as your main tool for creating and sending newsletters. Inxmail Professional only serves as a recipient database and configuration tool in the background.
We are constantly expanding the functionality of “Newsletters & Campaigns”. Check out newsletters & campaigns section to find out if the feature you are looking for might already be available there.
-
Full scope: You use the legacy tool Inxmail Professional as your main tool for creating and sending newsletters.
