Unsubscribing recipients manually
The advantage of manually unsubscribing recipients as opposed to removing recipients:
If you remove recipients from a list, then the recipients can be automatically created again and therefore resubscribed to the mailing list when data is imported.
If you manually unsubscribe recipients from a list, the recipients are no longer imported during the import of data. Unsubscribing recipients therefore provides a safeguard against accidental resubscription.
Note: When recipients are unsubscribed and resubscribed, the value of the Tracking permission column is reset to the default value
No.
No means: You do not have consent to person-based tracking for this recipient and the current list.
Step by step
- Open the recipients table of the corresponding mailing list.
- On the Subscribed tab, hold down the CTRL key and select the recipients you wish to unsubscribe in the recipient table.
- Click the
(Unsubscribe recipient) button. - A message box appears asking if you really want to unsubscribe the recipients.
- Click Unsubscribe to confirm.
- The recipients will be unsubscribed from the mailing list and moved to the recipient table on the Unsubscribed tab.
