The list-unsubscribe header comprises two key specifications:
List-unsubscribe(6, 7) This entry contains the URL to the newsletter (6) and the mailto-address (7). Both specifications allow users to unsubscribe from a newsletter via control elements. The respective email application either sends a Get request (until 30 June 2019) to the URL or it sends an unsubscribe email to the specified mailto address. Both things may possibly happen.
List-unsubscribe-post (8) This entry signals to the email application that a POST request should be made for the URL to the newsletter (6) instead of a GET request. The submission of a POST request is referred to as the ‘One-click list-unsubscribe’ procedure. One advantage of this method is that unintentional unsubscriptions caused by anti-spam software can be avoided. The one-click list-unsubscribe extension of the list-unsubscribe header is integrated as standard in the email header from Inxmail Professional 4.8.5. This applies to all mailings that are sent from standard lists.

‘Email header’ and ‘Header’ main element in Inxmail Professional newsletter templates
The ‘email header’ should not be confused with the main element ‘Header’ in Inxmail Professional newsletter templates The email header is a non-visible component of every email or newsletter and has no influence on the visual display of a newsletter.
The main element ‘header’ or ‘header area’ in Inxmail Professional newsletter templates represents a graphical element of a newsletter. Among other things, it contains the ‘banner’ elements and the heading of the newsletter.
