n8n is an automation platform that can be used to integrate different applications and systems. Templates and nodes let you connect applications, APIs, and data sources and create automated workflows. Nodes provided by n8n and Inxmail handle subtasks such as retrieving, processing, or transferring data to another system.
Why Inxmail templates?
Templates provide functionality for business use cases. This allows you to integrate business use cases into other workflows and implement them quickly in your system landscape.
The template shows how the Inxmail business use case is implemented using standard n8n nodes. This allows you to adapt the template to the specific requirements of your business use case.
Two workflows are usually provided for a business use case:
- Sub-workflow: Implements the Inxmail business use case with defined interfaces.
- Evaluation workflow: Shows how the business use case is used in context, for example, with sample data. Evaluation workflows are generally driven by UI forms and include form triggers, form input, and result display.
Some evaluation workflows use n8n tables. Create these under "Tables". You can use tables across workflows.
Why Inxmail nodes?
Nodes encapsulate a complete standard Inxmail business use case. You can quickly and easily integrate a node into an existing workflow without having to deal with Inxmail-specific implementation details.
Note: Nodes provide the same functionality as the use case templates (sub-workflows) described above. You can therefore also use and test them in the evaluation workflow.
Important: Templates and nodes use the Inxmail API (see https://apidocs.inxmail.com/xpro/rest/v1/#_introduction). To access the Inxmail platform, use your Inxmail platform credentials. In the n8n platform, use the native "Basic Auth" credentials type.
